The University has secured four competitive KITS grants of the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), for developing its tech transfer and entrepreneurship activities. The grants will ultimately benefit scientists who are looking to bring their innovations and knowledge to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a total sum of 1 million euros obtained, the University will continue to empower researchers to give life to their ideas and better infuse society, a key pillar of its commitment to contribute to Luxembourg\u2019s social, cultural and economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A bridge between worlds<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To get the best ideas from the blackboards and labs into the world, Uni.lu scientists can rely on the support of dedicated experts in tech transfer, partnerships and entrepreneurship. These teams bring their diverse expertise from start-up creation to funding opportunities, intellectual property support, license agreements and partner contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four Knowledge and Innovation Transfer Support (KITS<\/a>) 2024 grants will help fulfil this commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese important grants will complement our novel intellectual property policy to better support the valorisation of the scientific results produced by our students, researchers, professors and staff<\/em>\u201d, reacted Marie-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Jobin, Vice Rector for Partnerships and International Relations. \u201cIt is of strategic importance for the University of Luxembourg to train, inform and support knowledge creators from the start, to enable them to benefit socially and economically from their discoveries, for society\u2019s benefit<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
