On 16 March 2024, the University of Luxembourg will be opening its doors to future students and members of the public who are curious to find out more about the courses it offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From drone and robot demonstrations to visits to laboratories and the Learning Centre, visitors will get the chance to immerse themselves in university and academic life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a hub for sharing knowledge, the Uni will also be offering practical workshops on resolving legal disputes, managing social media profiles and writing CVs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prospective students will be able to find answers to all their questions about course programmes, accommodation options and career opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guided tours of the campus are also planned, with special access to the top of the Belval blast furnace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nNew studies and AI tools: the back-to-school equation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For the start of the 2024\u20132025 academic year, around ten new study programmes<\/a> will be added to the University of Luxembourg’s curriculum. There will be around twenty bachelor’s degrees and almost fifty different master’s degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a time when use of artificial intelligence tools surges among students, the University of Luxembourg is offering dedicated support to members of its teaching staff<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Catherine L\u00e9glu (EN, FR) and Rector Jens Kreisel (DE, EN, FR) will be available to answer journalists’ questions during the Open Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Open Day will be held on 16 March from 9.30 to 16.00 at the Belval Campus. There is no need to register in advance. The full programme is available on openday.uni.lu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 7,000 students, including around a thousand PhD students, the University of Luxembourg has three faculties and four interdisciplinary research centres. Times Higher Education ranks the University of Luxembourg 4th in the world in the ‘international outlook’ category, 25th in its Young Universities 2022 ranking and among the 250 best universities in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
