In the fiercely competitive arena of the Times Higher Education\u2019s World University Rankings, the University of Luxembourg proudly maintains its position among the 201-250 best universities in the World University Rankings 2024. This year, the rankings have expanded to include105 additional universities, for a total of 1904 institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of Research quality, the University made a significant leap this year, securing the 363rd<\/sup> position globally. In both Teaching and Research environment, the University ranks among the top 25% of universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its overall position, the University maintains its score from last year. The University has consistently occupied the 201-250 position in the World University Rankings for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indicators for the World University Rankings 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The score for Research quality <\/strong>is assessed through four key indicators: research strength, research excellence, research influence and citation impact. Here the University significantly improved its position compared to last year, moving up from position 577 to 363 worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the domain of Teaching, <\/strong>the University also improved its score and now ranks among the top 25% of universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the evaluation of the Research environment<\/strong>, the University maintains its place among the top 25% of universities. Three indicators are used to determine this score: publications per staff, research income to academic staff and research reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Industry<\/strong> ranking now includes a new indicator for patents, which takes into account patent citations as a measure of a university’s research impact in addition to research income. The University increased its score in Industry income and generally ranks at position 587.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, the University scores 93.2 for International Outlook.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
