Research, policy and practice will take the stage on 3 October, during a full day conference on housing on Belval campus.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Housing policy is associated with social and economic opportunities as well as wealth accumulation, and thus with higher or lower levels of inequalities in a society. In Luxembourg, with its unique geographic, construction and ownership characteristics, housing is one of the most challenging policy issues.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Housing Day 2023<\/a> offers participants a chance to take stock of housing research and practice, identify collaboration opportunities across stakeholders, and discuss policy-relevant topics with direct impact on those who work and live in Luxembourg. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The morning sessions<\/strong> will take stock of the state of housing research and practice in Luxembourg, while afternoon breakout sessions<\/strong> will provide interactive discussions on policy-relevant topics. In this perspective, visitors will be able to make use of the networking breaks to dialogue and interact. The Housing Day 2023 will be held in English and French with simultaneous translation for panels and plenary session.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is organised by Lindsay Flynn, Associate professor of political science at the University.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Flynn coordinates the\u202fPROactive Policymaking for Equal Lives<\/a> (Propel) project. Propel\u202f<\/strong>brings together a multidisciplinary research team leading engaging in conceptual and applied research on housing: How do housing policies and housing markets contribute to inequalities within and across countries?\u202fHow does housing policy link to related policy areas like employment and pensions? How can housing policy be designed to address inequality? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
