which is a cornerstone of the Department\u2019s academic profile and a key contributor to the University\u2019s reputation. They will pursue research and teaching in this field, focussing on Luxembourg, EU, and comparative transnational perspectives. The position is of particular strategic relevance given the Department\u2019s ambition to maintain its leadership in financial law, a domain central to Luxembourg\u2019s role as a global financial centre.<\/p>\n\n    \n\n<p>The ideal candidate shows potential to:<\/p>\n\n    \n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\"><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Develop an internationally recognized research profile in banking law in a broad sense, e.g., prudential regulation and bank supervision, depositary law, regulation of payments and payment systems, financial technologies, sustainable finance, secured transactions and consumer financial contracts, links to financial markets law<\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Publish extensively in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, monographs, or authoritative treatises<\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives such as the FutureFinTechNCER and\/or collaborate with the Department of Finance in the field of sustainable finance<\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Teach in core areas of banking law.
