\nLaunch of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Europe Direct at the University of Luxembourg (ED-UNILU)<\/a> took part in the meeting to mark the launch of the Hungarian Presidency of the EU, which took place on 5 July 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the opening address pronounced by Mrs. Anne Calteux, Representative of the European Commission in Luxembourg, H.E. Mr. Thomas Lambert, Ambassador of Belgium in Luxembourg, presented the results of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU (1st<\/sup> January \u2013 30 June 2024), and H.E. Mr. Tam\u00e1s Iv\u00e1n outilined the 7 priorities of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU (1st<\/sup> July-31 December 2024). In this context has been launched a book marking rhe centenary of diplomatic relations between Luxembourg and Hungary, which was authored by Jean Ries, Jean-Marie Majerus and St\u00e9phanie Kov\u00e1cs .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
