Lola has an interdisciplinary background in Political Sciences and Border Studies with a specialization in anthropological and ethnographic approaches. She did her undergraduate and graduate studies in Sciences-Po Aix and Paris-Dauphine University (France) and her Ph. D. at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU, Denmark) in the Centre for Border Regions Studies. Lola’s doctoral research involved a long-term ethnographic investigation of grassroots pro-refugee organizations in Paris, revealing their diverse ways of resisting borders and b/orderings materializations in the city. Currently, Lola is a post-doctoral researcher at the UniGR-Center for Border Studies, where she strengthens the center’s coordination unit and conducts research on borders from a post-humanist and new-materialist perspective.
