The University of Luxembourg launches a new Master in pre- and primary education for the academic year 2026/2027.
The four-year part-time programme, “Master in Pre- and Primary Education”, is geared towards teachers in the Luxembourgish school system who wish to expand their theoretical, research-based and reflective practical knowledge in the field.
Coordinated by Prof. Michelle Proyer, professor in inclusive education, this new master’s offers teachers the opportunity to specialise in one of three areas:
- inclusive education
- school management
- classroom management

Over the years, the University has continuously expanded its teacher training offer, tailoring it to the Luxembourg school system.
The new Master complements the existing Master’s degrees offered to applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field ― Master en éducation inclusive et accessibilité pédagogique (Master’s in Inclusive Education and Pedagogical Accessibility), Master en gestion et développement des écoles (Master’s in School Management and Development), and Master en développement de l’enseignement (Master’s in Teaching and Learning Development) ―, as well as the Bachelor en sciences de l’éducation (Bachelor’s in Educational Sciences) and Bachelor en formation pédagogique (Bachelor’s in Teacher Education).

Interested in applying for the new Master in pre- and primary education?
Interested applicants should have at least three years of full-time experience as teacher, a Bachelor’s in education or related fields and proficiency in Luxembourgish, German, French and English.
Applications for the new Master’s programme are open until 15 July 2026, and the programme team will organise information sessions in June and July.
