HRH The Grand Duke of Luxembourg has appointed Prof. André Prüm, full professor in law and founding Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg, together with Mr. Norbert Becker, financial expert and entrepreneur, as special advisors to the Grand Ducal Court.

The appointment was made on 5 March 2020, following the announcement that the Marshal of the Court would be retiring. Mr. Becker and Prof. Prüm will advise the Grand Duke during current discussions with the government on the subject of modernising the operations of the Grand Ducal Court, as recommended in the report by the special representative to the Prime Minister, Jeannot Waringo. The special advisors have begun to work with the Office of the Prime Minister in order to precisely outline the recommended reforms with a view towards practical implementation.

Mr. Becker and Prof. Prüm will also oversee the management of daily operations at the Grand Ducal Court in the interim period before a new Marshal of the Court is named.
