SUMMARY:The potential of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) in Luxembourg
DESCRIPTION:Carbon management involves reducing emissions and using a set of nature- or technology-based solutions to capture, store, transport and use atmospheric CO2 emissions from human activities. The European Union is committed to achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and is striving to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2040.\n\nAt the initiative of the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity, the Ministry of the Economy, and the University of Luxembourg, and with the support of Luxinnovation, a conference on the state of the art of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) in Luxembourg will take place on 5 February, from 9.00 to 17.00, in Luxembourg-Belval.\n\nThe objectives of this conference are:\n\nto provide an overview of the status of CCUS at an international, European and national level, highlighting the opportunities and constraints of natural and technology-based solutions;\n\nto promote networking in the Luxembourg RDI ecosystem in the area of CCUS.\n\nAre you an industrial, economic, or financial player? Are you a representative of academia or the public sector? Are you interested in the topic of carbon management?
