Research Luxembourg hat das Forschungsprogramm\u00a0CoVaLux\u00a0(COVID-19, Vaccination & long-term health consequences of COVID-19 in Luxembourg) angek\u00fcndigt, eine umfassende Studie, die darauf abzielt, wichtige unbeantwortete Fragen im Zusammenhang mit COVID-19 zu kl\u00e4ren. Sie konzentriert sich insbesondere auf die Impfung und die l\u00e4ngerfristigen gesundheitlichen Auswirkungen von COVID-19.<\/p>

Die Universit\u00e4t Luxemburg ist neben anderen \u00f6ffentlichen Forschungseinrichtungen und klinischen Partnern einer der Hauptbeteiligten des Programms.<\/p>

CoVaLux wird die kurz- bis mittelfristigen Auswirkungen der Impfung, die Wirksamkeit des Impfstoffs, die Zeit nach der Impfung und Durchbruchsinfektionen untersuchen. Im Rahmen der Studie werden auch die Entwicklung der Immunreaktion, das Auftreten neuer Varianten und klinische Symptome im Falle einer erneuten Infektion untersucht. Ein weiteres Ziel ist es, sowohl die viralen Faktoren, die mit der Resistenz gegen Impfstoffe in Verbindung gebracht werden, als auch die Patientenmerkmale zu ermitteln, die mit Re-Infektionen in Verbindung gebracht werden k\u00f6nnen. Was \u201eLong COVID\u201c betrifft, so wird CoVaLux verschiedene Aspekte beleuchten, z. B. die Merkmale und die Pr\u00e4valenz von Symptomen bei COVID-19-Patienten, das Vorhandensein von Risikofaktoren f\u00fcr die Entwicklung von \u201eLong COVID\u201c sowie m\u00f6gliche Zusammenh\u00e4nge mit bereits bestehenden Komorbidit\u00e4ten oder gleichzeitgen Infektionen. Auch sozio\u00f6konomische und umweltbedingte Determinanten von \u201eLong COVID\u201c werden untersucht, um die Pr\u00e4vention, Diagnose und Behandlung zu verbessern.<\/p>

\u201eDie erhebliche gesundheitliche Belastung der luxemburgischen Bev\u00f6lkerung durch die Pandemie verlagert sich von einer reinen Infektionskrankheit zu einer de facto chronischen Infektion, die sich auch auf den psychologischen und sozio\u00f6konomischen Bereich ausdehnt. Das muss angegangen werden\u201c<\/i>, sagt Dr. Guy Fagherazzi, Direktor der Abteilung f\u00fcr Pr\u00e4zisionsgesundheit am Luxembourg Institute of Health LIH) und Co-Sprecher von CoVaLux.<\/p>

CoVaLux wird auf fr\u00fcheren nationalen Studien wie Predi-COVID und CON-VINCE aufbauen und sich auf erg\u00e4nzende Daten aus verschiedenen Quellen st\u00fctzen.<\/p>

\u201eCoVaLux stellt eine koordinierte Anstrengung auf nationaler Ebene dar, um wichtige ungel\u00f6ste Fragen im Zusammenhang mit COVID-19 und seinen Folgen zu beantworten, und st\u00fctzt sich dabei auf einen interdisziplin\u00e4ren Ansatz an der Schnittstelle von Immunologie, Psychologie, Epidemiologie, digitaler Gesundheit, Sozialwissenschaft und \u00f6ffentlicher Gesundheit\u201c,<\/i> erkl\u00e4rt Paul Wilmes<\/a>, Professor f\u00fcr System\u00f6kologie am Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) der Universit\u00e4t Luxemburg und Co-Sprecher von CoVaLux.<\/p>
