Ein Gro\u00dfteil der Tunnel- und Br\u00fcckeninfrastruktur in Europa ist \u00fcber 50 Jahre alt und n\u00e4hert sich dem Ende ihrer Lebensdauer, wobei ein erheblicher Instandhaltungsbedarf besteht. Au\u00dferdem k\u00f6nnte sie auch zur \u00dcberwachung des fortschreitenden Risswachstums eingesetzt werden, um vor potenziell katastrophalen Folgen zu handeln. Die Zusammenarbeit wurde in der Fachzeitschrift <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/10.1177\/14759217241296831\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Structural Health Monitoring<\/a> ver\u00f6ffentlicht.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Team verfeinert derzeit die chemische Zusammensetzung der CLCEs, die in verschiedene Farben ge\u00e4ndert oder unsichtbar bleiben k\u00f6nnen, bis ein Riss auftritt, um so die Umweltbelastung zu minimieren. Obwohl die Technologie urspr\u00fcnglich f\u00fcr Betonoberfl\u00e4chen entwickelt wurde, k\u00f6nnte sie aber auch problemlos auf Metalloberfl\u00e4chen von Fahrzeugen wie Flugzeugen, Booten, Z\u00fcgen und Autos angewendet werden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201e<em>Zusammen mit Prof. Numa Bertola von der Universit\u00e4t Luxemburg starten wir nun im Fr\u00fchjahr 2025 unser erstes Pilotprojekt au\u00dferhalb des Labors an einer echten Struktur mit einer Br\u00fccke in der Schweiz.
