Auf Vorschlag von St\u00e9phane Pallage, Rektor der Universit\u00e4t Luxemburg, hat der Aufsichtsrat der Universit\u00e4t in seiner j\u00fcngsten Sitzung drei neue Professorinnen ernannt.<\/p>

Prof. Dr. Anna Kornadt<\/strong>, derzeit Forscherin an der Universit\u00e4t Bielefeld (D), wird als Professorin f\u00fcr Psychologie an die Universit\u00e4t Luxemburg berufen. Anna Kornadt ist Expertin f\u00fcr die Psychologie des Alterns; ihr besonderes Interesse gilt den Vorstellungen vom Altern und deren Auswirkungen auf Entwicklungsprozesse und tats\u00e4chliches Altern. Prof. Dr. Kornadt tritt die Nachfolge des verstorbenen Prof. Dr. Dieter Ferring in der \u201eIntegrative Research Unit on Social and Individual Development\u201c (INSIDE) an.<\/p>

Prof. Dr. Sarah Scherotzke<\/strong>, Professorin f\u00fcr Mathematik an der Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnster, wird als Professorin f\u00fcr Mathematik an der Universit\u00e4t Luxemburg ernannt. Ihr Spezialgebiet ist die algebraische Geometrie sowie die Theorie der derivierten Kategorien, ein sehr dynamisches Gebiet an der Schnittstelle von Geometrie, Algebra und K-Theorie. Die mathematische Forschergruppe<\/a> freut sich \u00fcber die Berufung einer Wissenschaftlerin, die zugleich mit gro\u00dfem Engagement unterrichtet.<\/p>

Prof. Machteld Venken<\/strong>, derzeit Forschungsprofessorin an der \u201eVrije Universiteit Brussel\u201c, wird als Professorin f\u00fcr transnationale Zeitgeschichte an der Universit\u00e4t Luxemburg ernannt. Ihre internationale Laufbahn mit Stationen in Belgien, Deutschland und \u00d6sterreich zeugt von ihrem Talent, in verschiedenen akademischen Kulturen zu wirken. Ihr Forschungsgebiet mit den Schwerpunkten europ\u00e4ische Zeitgeschichte, Migrationsgeschichte sowie Ged\u00e4chtnis- und Grenzforschung ist Teil der Mission des \u201eLuxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History\u201c (C2<\/sup>DH)<\/a> der Universit\u00e4t.<\/p>

Der Aufsichtsrat ernannte auch Prof. John Scheid<\/strong> zum Gastprofessor f\u00fcr alte Geschichte und Arch\u00e4ologie. Der aus Luxemburg stammende Professor Scheid, emeritierter Professor am renommierten \u201eColl\u00e8ge de France“ und Mitglied der \u201eAcad\u00e9mie des Belles Lettres“, ist ein international anerkannter Experte auf dem Gebiet der Religionen, der Institutionen und der Gesellschaft des antiken Rom. Die Fakult\u00e4t f\u00fcr Sprachwissenschaften und Literatur, Geisteswissenschaften, Kunst und Erziehungswissenschaften<\/a> begr\u00fc\u00dft diese Ernennung, die es Professor Scheid erm\u00f6glicht, die Zusammenarbeit mit der Fakult\u00e4t in Forschung und Lehre zu vertiefen.<\/p><\/div><\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
