Faire l\u2019histoire se fait n\u2019importe o\u00f9. Nous ne sommes jamais au bout de nos surprises. Pas plus tard qu\u2019en juillet dernier, une historienne que j\u2019aime beaucoup a disparu de l\u2019\u00e9cran lors d\u2019une visioconf\u00e9rence pour r\u00e9apparaitre avec une bo\u00eete l\u00e9zard\u00e9e rouge et blanc m\u2019expliquant que ce qu\u2019il y a dedans, c\u2019est pour moi ! Alors \u00e7a c\u2019est fantastique ! Tu fais la tourn\u00e9e des centres d\u2019archives en France et l\u00e0 bam, depuis la Belgique, tu re\u00e7ois en mains propres une correspondance de la Grande Guerre ! <\/em>C\u2019est tellement r\u00e9jouissant ! Cela semble sans fin !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je l\u2019ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9voqu\u00e9 dans quelques \u00e9pisodes pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents, mais il est toujours bon de le rappeler : nous avons toutes et tous des documents qui font l\u2019histoire d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui et de demain. Que nous soyons d\u2019une famille de notables ou d\u2019une famille d\u2019ouvriers. La diff\u00e9rence est qu\u2019il faut en avoir conscience. Et savoir o\u00f9 d\u00e9poser tout cela qu\u2019on est d\u00e9cid\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette bo\u00eete en carton vient donc de Belgique. Ne sachant quoi en faire, la donatrice a l\u2019id\u00e9e bienvenue de transmettre ces documents, vieux de plus cent ans, \u00e0 un historien de l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Louvain-la-Neuve. Entre coll\u00e8gues, ils ont su \u00e0 qui les confier\u2026 Une sp\u00e9cialiste de Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale : Laurence van Ypersele. Et puis, tout naturellement, c\u2019est arriv\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 moi. Enfin, tu t\u2019es d\u00e9plac\u00e9e jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Bruxelles pour la r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer cette bo\u00eete ! <\/em>Oui, juste apr\u00e8s la soutenance de th\u00e8se \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve de Marie Leyder sur les infirmi\u00e8res et marraines de guerre sur le front de l\u2019Yser pendant la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale\u2026 Si le monde est bien fait !<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Longtemps install\u00e9e sur ma commode, j\u2019ai attendu\u2026 Prise par d\u2019autres pr\u00e9occupations, je ne me sentais pas pr\u00eate \u00e0 plonger tout de suite dans ce nouveau fonds. Faut souligner que tu as pour une fois le luxe de prendre ton temps ! Tu n\u2019es pas prise par des horaires de centre d\u2019archives et Laurence ne t\u2019a pas impos\u00e9 de rendre tout cela deux mois plus tard\u2026 <\/em>En effet ! C\u2019est assez reposant ! Et puis, comme j\u2019ai pu le faire avec Ysabeau dans mes d\u00e9buts puis avec Jules \u00e0 deux reprises une fois th\u00e9sarde, je voulais peut-\u00eatre le faire avec quelqu\u2019un. Partager cela. C\u2019est Manon, ton acolyte de cette fameuse ann\u00e9e de licence 3 \u00e0 la fac de Caen, qui a r\u00e9pondu \u00e0 cet appel. <\/em>Mazette !<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n
