To investigate this question, the PHACS Team inaugurated a temporary interactive installation at the House of European History in November 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/c2dh-en\/research-projects\/phacs\/\">Public History as the New Citizen Science of the Past&nbsp;(PHACS)<\/a> project held at the C\u00b2DH, develops public history practices and <strong>participatory models<\/strong> to <strong>interpret the past<\/strong>. Focusing on the production of history with a public perspective, this project, led by P.I. Prof Dr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/c2dh-en\/people\/thomas-cauvin\/\">Thomas Cauvin<\/a>, aims to facilitate <strong>interactions<\/strong> between academics, cultural institutions, groups, associations, and the general public to contribute to a democratisation not only of access but also of the production of history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within this framework, PhD Candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/c2dh-en\/people\/camilla-elisa-portesani\/\">Camilla Portesani<\/a>, Prof Dr Thomas Cauvin and Dr Violeta Tsenova worked towards a creating a pilot project in collaboration with the House of European History (HEH): the <a href=\"https:\/\/historia.europa.eu\/en\/our-work\/public-history-new-citizen-science-past\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pa<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/c2dh-en\/research-projects\/phacs\/participatory-public-history-lab\/\">rticipatory Public History Lab<\/a> (PPHL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together they posed the question&nbsp;of how to develop and implement public participation in history museums to enrich existing narratives and bring more diversity to the content proposed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To explore this, Portesani and her colleagues developed a new participatory methodology to foster transnational collaborative history-making. Developed with the support of and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/c2dh-en\/people\/mariam-dalal\/\">Dr Myriam Dalal<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lmddc.lu\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Luxembourg Media &amp; Digital Design Centre<\/a> (LMDDC), it will be on the museum\u2019s premises until February 2025 and we invite you to discover these stories relating to key moments of Europe\u2019s contemporary history and to be part of this experiment with public participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope to welcome you very soon at the museum and hear what you think
