The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History, better known as C\u00b2DH, is a real hive of activity. Ever since I set foot there, I’ve been constantly meeting new people. In existence for only five years, it is a wonderful research centre that encourages an interdisciplinary approach and focuses on new tools and methods in historical research and teaching. Suffice to say, I love it! And there’s nothing you can get bored of!<\/em> Above all, it attracts a lot of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While some, like me, come for a cotutelle or co-directorship project, lasting 1, 2 or more years, others are only here for a few months. So, I wondered about the added value of coming to the University of Luxembourg for such a short time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do we have enough time to fully grasp what is going on in this laboratory on the Belval campus, very close to the French border? Can we quickly gauge what C\u00b2DH can offer in two or three months? Marta Kopiniak, a PhD student at the University of Wroclaw in Poland, will give us the beginnings of some answers. I met her on several occasions, first in Luxembourg and then in Poland, and had the opportunity to talk to her… Frankly, I wasn’t expecting this! Today, Marta is kind enough to share her impressions with all of us. A fitting end to season 3 of Gazengel in close collaboration with C\u00b2DH, what else?<\/p>\n\n\n
