The Remixing Industrial Pasts team has now published the comic stories that are part of the Minett Stories online exhibition<\/a> as paper editions. The first three comics tell the story of an Italian miner, and four short stories about air pollution in the Minett region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irene Portas<\/a> and Jens van de Maele<\/a> used the storytelling format of a graphic novel to tell three of the 21 stories that the Remixing Industrial Pasts team has published in the online exhibition Minett Stories<\/a>. They worked with two different comic illustrators. The more colourful drawings of the story about an Italian miner<\/a> who was involved in illegal communist activities are complemented by the black and white drawings of four short stories about air pollution in the Minett region<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea to publish the comics not only online but also as printed booklets was there from the start, but limited time and resources hampered the quick realisation. Now, former team designer Lars Schoenfelder has reworked the layout of the stories to better fill the printed pages. The three comic stories are available in German, French, and English.
