It aims to gather scholars interested in the contribution of digital tools and methods to the creation, production, and analysis of public historical narratives.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europast.vu.lt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Europast<\/a> Summer Schools are designed to offer theoretical and methodological training, whilst placing a strong emphasis on supporting the development of early-career researchers in their chosen fields, promoting research integrity, conduct, and communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2024 Summer School will take place in Luxembourg at the Centre for Contemporary and Digital History. It aims to gather scholars interested in the contribution of digital tools and methods to the creation, production, and analysis of public historical narratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across the four days of training we will host and discuss topics including practices of co-production, curation, analysis and archiving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Summer School will run from the 01 to the 04 of July 2024, with a daily timetable divided into three modules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Conversations<\/strong> keynote presentations followed by a discussion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Workshops<\/strong> History and Video Games; Podcasting; Tropy application for data management; Crowdsourcing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Presentations <\/strong>10-minute lightning talks by ECRs on their work and one specific point they would like to discuss further (methodology, audience, collaboration, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for the Summer school, please email a biography written in the third person (maximum 400-500 charcters, spaces included) and a cover letter in which you explain how you engage with digital tools and methods in the creation and analysis of public history narratives (maximum 250 words).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please apply before Friday, <strong>16 February<\/strong> by sending the above documents to Rhianne Morgan: <a href=\"mailto:rhianne.morgan@uni.lu\">rhianne.morgan@uni.lu<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-button-list-v2\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-button-list-item-v2\"><a class=\"quick-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2024\/01\/EUROPAST-summer-school-2024-Belval.pdf\" target=\"\" role=\"link\" rel=\"noopener\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"quick-link__container\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-block-inserter quick-link__img\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<span class=\"quick-link__name wp-block-unilux-blocks-plain-text\">Detailed programme<\/span>\n\n<svg aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" class=\"icon icon-outline icon--download \"><use xlink:href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/themes\/unilux-theme\/assets\/images\/icons\/icons-outline.svg#icon--download\"><\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EUROPAST Summer School will take place from 1 to 4 July 2024 at the C\u00b2DH.
