\nRound table discussion.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The round table discussion \u201cForced Labor in My Family’s Memories\u201d is taking place as part of the exhibition \u201cOST \u2013 The Vanished Traces of Forced Laborers from Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus in Luxembourg 1942-1944<\/a>,\u201d which is based on Dr. Inna Ganschow’s award-winning book \u201cNo One Cried, There Were No More Tears<\/a>\u201d (Luxembourg 2025). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the Luxembourg Ukrainian Research Network (LURN) are invited to share their ancestors’ experiences of forced labor in Germany. Historian Dr. Zhanna Serdiuk, gender and urban researcher Dr. Olga Kryvets, and mathematician Dr. Taras Lukashiv will talk about how their ancestors experienced forced labor. What were their recurring memories? What was talked about most? What topics did the grandparents want to avoid? How did this family experience shape the lives of their descendants? What impact did it have on their descendants’ decisions to move to Europe later? How the understanding of these memories changed through the academic work or through living abroad?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
