What we stand for
Like those components of a medicine that produce the desired effect, our ACTIVE principles largely affect the ways in which we practice and reflect upon public history. Telling history in a “shared authority”-approach
Citizen science & public engagement
Public history initiatives at the centre reflect a democratisation-based approach to historical scholarship that questions authority and explores possibilities for critical engagement with members of the public.
‟ Sharing authority is a hallmark of our approach. Public participation can enhance our understanding of the past.”
