The C²DH offers one short-term fellowship (two months) for a scholar at risk.
The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) is the University of Luxembourg’s third interdisciplinary research centre, focusing on high-quality research, analysis and public dissemination in the field of contemporary history. It promotes an interdisciplinary approach with a particular focus on new digital methods and tools for historical research and teaching.
To promote international exchanges and collaborations in the field of contemporary, public and digital history, the C²DH offers one short-term fellowship position for 2 months for a scholar at risk, including Palestine and Sudan. Following criteria established by the Scholars at Risk network, we understand at-risk scholars to be those who are experiencing, or experienced very recently, direct risk, such as threat of violence/ harm to the individual, harassment/ intimidation, threat of arrest/ imprisonment, etc, or they are experiencing general physical risk from an active conflict in their country of origin.
Applicants are expected to pursue their own research, which can relate to any region in the world and is ideally related to contemporary, public or digital history, broadly understood. Fellowship holders will be assigned to one of our Research departments and asked to present their current project in a seminar or colloquium.
