The first Day of Contemporary History in the Greater Region serves as a dynamic platform for exploring recent advancements in the study of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Emphasising interdisciplinary and transnational perspectives, the event fosters cross-border collaboration, intellectual exchange, and networking among scholars investigating contemporary history within and beyond the Greater Region. The conference offers a space to reflect on these historical dynamics, fostering dialogue that transcends national and disciplinary boundaries.

The event is organized by the Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) of the University of Luxembourg and the Center for Border Studies (UniGR-CBS) of the University of the Greater Region (UniGR)  with the active engagement and the support of researchers from the Université de Lorraine (France), Université de Liège (Belgium), Universität Trier and Universität des Saarlandes (Germany).
