How can we belong? How shall we live? How can we shape our future? Through humanities and Social sciences we envision the future, impact the present and reflect on the past to contribute to an inclusive, open and resourceful society.

A strong interdisciplinary research culture

The FHSE is active in six research areas and contributes to the understanding of significant concerns of contemporary and past societies.

The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences is home of five Departments : Education & Social Work, Behavioural & Cognitive Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Geography & Spatial Planning. It also host the Luxembourg Centre for Educational Testing (LUCET). Along with the disciplinary approach, a very ambitious interdisciplinary research culture has been developed among our members.
